In Rehearsal: Frank Huang in Barber’s Violin Concerto

Posted November 01, 2018

Concertmaster Frank Huang rehearses the Barber Violin Concerto with his colleagues for this week’s concerts — making this full orchestral piece feel intimate, like chamber music. Take a listen to the lush, lyrical moments in the first movement, led by Juraj Valčuha. Later on in the concerto Frank kicks it into high gear for some big-time bravura.
