The Concerts in the Parks are a sweet memory, and you won't hear the Orchestra in New York until September, but you can enjoy the exquisite artistry of New York Philharmonic musicians on the East End this summer.
On Friday and Saturday, July 15 and 16, Guild Hall in East Hampton, N.Y., presents two enticing chamber concerts, both featuring Assistant Concertmaster Michelle Kim and violinist Quan Ge; Associate Principal Viola Rebecca Young and violist Robert Rinehart; Associate Principal Cello Eileen Moon; and Principal Horn Philip Myers, with pianist William Wolfram as guest.
The July 15 concert presents music of Mozart and Brahms, and the July 16 concert presents music of Mozart, Dohnányi, and Dvořák.
Buy tickets to both nights and save $10 per ticket. Free Student Rush tickets are available.
If you agree that the civilized pleasure of chamber music is perfect for summer's more relaxed rhythm, do not miss these concerts!
